Pony Of The Month - March 2006

Registered Name: Log Cabin’s Eclipse
Nickname: Pone
Age: 12 (April 8) If you missed my birthday you can send cards, or even better, carrot muffins to me, care of Binny.
Color: gray
Height: 14.1 hands
Markings: none
My Breeding:
Sire: Burlwood’s Sunburst (I look just like him except I’m BIGGER!)
Grand Sire: Forest Hill Super Star (That’s where my star quality comes from)
Grand Dam: High Meadows Night
Dam: Forest Hill Morning Star (Star quality on both sides of my gene pool)
Grand Sire: Vernon’s Starling (Yes, the famous one)
Grand Dam: Forest Hill Mopley
Why I Deserve To Be ‘Pony Of The Month’: I am the best at everything. (See inside front cover for details and that doesn’t even mention my greatest talents, napping and begging for treats)
My Most Endearing Qualities: Well I guess I’ll only name a few. My catch you by surprise kisses, my irresistible hugs, I have a love for sugar wafers, my “sparkle” in the show ring, my underestimated sneakiness, my strange desire to jump in snow banks, I love the color blue especially if it is satin, and I am the smartest pony you’ll ever meet, and I’ll be honest, I hate baths and being braided. I’m a guy, come on, braids??!! They itch!
The Most Aggravating Thing I Do, (according to my owner.)
Pulling to eat grass in the pumpkin patch, IF that’s even aggravating. Come on, who doesn’t like grass, and who doesn’t like pumpkins?
I Excel In: Driving, my personal favorite, but I also can do anything.
My Special Awards, Notables or Wins: Where do I begin, well, numerous highpoint end of the year breed association awards, numerous end of day champions and reserves, winner of 3 local show end of the year division awards, Sidesaddle highpoint Mountain and Moorland pony, my gold stats in my lifetime achievement for NFPSNA, the “Massachusetts Horse Whisperer” Junior Horsemanship Award, and that’s just the recent ones.
My Favorite Pony Friend Or Animal Buddy: Buddy, of course, is my best friend, but there is Rascal the dog, Fluffy Pillow, Bran Muffin, Squeakers, the cats, and Merritt, Sancho, and Dot (she’s beautiful) my other horse pals.
Bit: Loose Ring Bradoon (the thinnest one they could find) My driving bit is a Liverpool with a low port.
Favorite Treats: sugar wafers, soft peppermints, carrots, PB&J sandwiches, Pop Tarts, blueberry pie (Ask Binny about the time I stole hers, Heh, Heh), fried dough (not all the time), or just about anything-smothered in sugar. Can I go on? This is making me faint with hunger and I might have to do my starving pony act.
What My Owner Hopes To Accomplish With Me In This Lifetime:
Well we have been together for eight years and accomplished quite a bit together. Not only have we won multiple awards, but we have also traveled together, and learned everything together. The only thing I hope Binny and I accomplish in this lifetime is to be together forever We are two peas in a pod, I don’t even know what I would do without her, and I have been with her since I was four. We will wait to see what the future holds.
